The Böker Manufaktur Solingen Flattening Stone is designed for maintaining sharpening stones, which gradually wear down and develop hollows during regular knife sharpening. The coarse 220 grit efficiently removes material and helps return the sharpening stone to a flat working surface for precise sharpening.
The working surface features transverse grooves that capture and remove abraded material. The stone can also be used to create slurry, which may speed up and refine the sharpening process.
Suitable for:
Not suitable for: extremely hard Arkansas stones, synthetic ceramic stones, and diamond sharpening segments.
