The SunSun CUV-655 UV-C water clarifier is designed for use in filtration systems for garden ponds and water features. Flowing water is exposed to ultraviolet UV-C radiation, which helps eliminate microorganisms that cause green water. The dead particles can then clump together and be captured by a mechanical or biological filter.
The carefully designed water flow around the lamp extends the contact time with the UV-C radiation. The stainless steel reflector returns unused rays to the treatment chamber, thereby supporting cleaning effectiveness. For best results, the manufacturer recommends combining the UV-C lamp with a biological filter. With a properly designed filtration system, the first results in the form of clearer water may be visible after approximately 14 days.
The durable housing made of ASA and ABS plastics is suitable for operation around ponds. The symmetrical connection ports can be used as either the water inlet or outlet, making installation easier. The construction also includes two ferrite magnets which, according to the manufacturer, help magnetize the flowing water.
