Each of the four channels works independently, so you can charge multiple AA/AAA cells at once. The processor detects the type of inserted battery and selects the appropriate mode for 1.5V Li-ion or Ni-MH.
For Li-ion it uses three-phase control TC/CC/CV (including a lower-current phase to “wake” the cell), and for Ni-MH the CVSA method. Charging is optimized and safe for the given cell chemistry.
Power the charger from any USB adapter (recommended 2 A). The open design helps cooling and makes it easy to remove cells. Protections include short-circuit, overheat, overcharge, overcurrent and reverse polarity protection, as well as primary battery detection.
