QIDI Box is designed as a reliable feeder and drying box for 1.75 mm diameter filaments. Each of the 4 channels is controlled independently – the system uses four stepper motors and dual hardened-steel gearboxes, making it suitable not only for common filaments but also for selected composites with CF/GF reinforcement.
For stable results when printing with hygroscopic materials, QIDI Box enables airtight storage, use of desiccant, and drying up to 65 °C – even simultaneously during printing. Current values can be monitored on the display and in QIDI Studio software.
A practical advantage is automatic filament backup, which can switch to a spare spool when the material runs out. The system also performs detection of tangling, jamming, and filament runout. Thanks to NFC, compatible QIDI filaments can be recognized automatically and settings adjusted without manual input. Use of a dedicated support filament (e.g., breakaway or soluble) is also supported – for PVA and BVOH, proper drying is required before use.
