The QIDI Box is designed as a reliable feeding and drying module for QIDI Q2-series printers. Thanks to four separate channels and a drive with dual hardened-steel gearboxes (and four stepper motors – one per channel), it is suitable not only for common materials but also for selected composites reinforced with CF/GF. One unit holds 4 spools; with accessories, the system can be expanded to up to 4 units (up to 16 colors/materials).
Integrated drying enables drying and printing at the same time with a maximum drying temperature of 65 °C. The airtight chamber and the option to use desiccant help reduce moisture, which is crucial especially for hygroscopic filaments. You can monitor the current temperature and humidity on the display and in QIDI Studio.
For smooth printing, there is automatic filament refill (switching to a backup spool when the current one runs out) and monitoring of issues such as filament runout, tangling, or jamming. NFC support simplifies setup for compatible QIDI filaments and also enables more convenient work with support materials (e.g., PVA/BVOH – must be properly dried before use).

Compatibility notice: Not every 1.75 mm filament is compatible. The system does not support e.g. TPE, standard TPU, TPU 95A, QIDI PAHT-CF, wet PVA/BVOH, selected “Silk” materials (including PLA Silk), glow-in-the-dark PLA, and other materials with excessive stiffness or flexibility.
