The Firesco ZR170S smoke alarm uses precise optical technology – it evaluates changes in light intensity caused by smoke in the detection chamber. As soon as smoke enters, it scatters light from the internal diode and the photodetector evaluates this change as an alarm. Then a 85 dB audible siren and a red LED are activated.
The device is equipped with advanced self-diagnostics that continuously monitors the alarm’s condition and informs you when maintenance or replacement is needed. The integrated Test/Hush button is used to check all functions and also to silence an accidentally triggered alarm (for example, during cooking).
Thanks to quality materials and a well-thought-out design, the alarm can better distinguish fire smoke from common airborne impurities. It also includes a metal mesh that helps minimize false alarms caused, for example, by insects. The alarm meets the requirements of PN-EN14604:2006 (EN14604:2005), with compliance confirmed by the independent testing organization TÜV Rheinland.
Recommended installation location: Thanks to its compact, modern design made of fire-resistant materials, it is suitable for installation in residential areas of the home.
