The knife from the Gerber Downwind collection follows the retro aesthetic of outdoor knives from the past, but adds contemporary materials and manufacturing processes. The fixed Drop Point blade made of 7Cr17MoV stainless steel offers good corrosion resistance and is also easy to sharpen. Thanks to the full-tang design (the steel runs through the entire length of the handle), you get excellent stability and balance during work.
The black-gray G10 composite handle is highly durable and has texture for a secure grip even when wet. Fine milling creates a non-slip pattern that helps safe handling in the field.
Included is a sheath made of waxed canvas, which matches the style of the Downwind series while also providing modern protection. The sheath has a horizontal belt loop for comfortable vertical carry.
