The Gerber Ultimate Survival is a durable survival knife designed for use in the wilderness, while camping and on expeditions. The 12 cm fixed blade made of 7Cr17MoV steel has a Stonewash finish and partial serrations, making it easier to work with various materials.
The heavily textured, rubberized handle provides a secure and comfortable grip. It is equipped with a cord featuring an emergency whistle and two holes near the guard, allowing the knife to be attached to a pole and used to create an improvised spear.
The package includes a plastic sheath for attachment to a belt or backpack. The sheath contains a ferrocerium rod for starting a fire using the striking notch on the blade spine and an integrated diamond sharpener for maintaining the edge.
